How To Contribute

Firstly, produce a summary of what you want to write. Then email it to the Editor, to discuss

  • Has it been covered already (say, in the last 10 years) or is a similar piece in preparation by someone else?
  • How long will it be? Does it have illustrations?
  • Does it have some structure to it, such as Introduction, Main text, in sections, Conclusions, References…

Technicalities

The ideal article is written in English and produced in MSWord as a DOCX file. Illustrations are supplied separately, as JPG files saved at no less than 300DPI with no compression. However, the Editorial Team can cope with almost any format – and will soon contact you if they get stuck.

Words or even paragraphs in other languages, especially Austrian, are welcomed if they are necessary; a translation will assist the reader (and the Editor). Avoid non-Western European fonts.

If some aspect of layout is important, explain what and why! See the typical issues of ‘Austria’ (this site, at journal) and note their format, which your article will appear in unless it’s essential that it be different. Pictures slightly bigger than half a page with captions underneath are difficult to lay out.
